About the BFA
The BFA's mission is to help create and establish a favourable operating environment by supporting our members in all aspects of their businesses. To that end we supply members with specialist advice and unique services which is only possible due to our understanding of their businesses and the industry. The BFA is responsible for representing the industry's interests with the Government and other trade bodies.
Membership of the BFA entitles companies to expert support for marketing, joint purchasing arrangements and advice on issues ranging from start-ups, exporting, product sourcing, import regulations, health and safety and employment queries.
One of our central remits is to provide an informed and energetic marketing service for companies exhibiting at key overseas trade fairs, and working with our member organisations to gain access to government grants towards these shows.
Our website is often the first port of call for information about the footwear industry in the UK and links to relevant organisations. The site offers:
