Norwich City Football Club formed in 1902 and their home ground, Carrow Road, is located in Norwich, Norfolk. NCFC are otherwise known as the Canaries and their current manager, Chris Hughton, was appointed in June 2012. Since 1972, Norwich City FC has played a total of 21 seasons of top-flight English football and they finished the 2011/12 season in 12th position.
The club has a song which is sung by the fans called 'On the Ball City', which is regarded as being the oldest club football song in the world. Norwich City has yet to win the Premier League or the old First Division, but they won the Football League Second Division and Third Division on five separate occasions. They also reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup three times and they have won the League Cup twice.
Based in Norfolk, which is the East of England, their arch rivals are Ipswich Town FC (who currently play in the Football League Championship). When these two clubs play each other, the fixture is known as the East Anglian Derby and the distance between the two teams makes this fixture the furthest 'local' derby in professional football in England. The home colours include green shorts with a yellow shirt. The kit is manufactured by Errea and the main club sponsor is Aviva.
