Liverpool Football Club Shirt & Details

Official Site:

Liverpool Football Club formed in 1892 and their home ground, Anfield, is based in Anfield, Liverpool. The team is otherwise known as 'The Reds' and their current manager is Brendan Rogers, who was appointed number one as recently as 1st June, 2012. Liverpool FC is one of the most successful clubs in British football, despite not having won the Premier League since it began.

The most successful period in the clubs history was during the 1970s and 1980s. In fact, Liverpool won the old First Division a total of 18 times and they finished in second place, as runners up, on twelve separate occasions. Only Manchester United has been more successful than Liverpool in having this many league wins at top-flight football.

The location of this club means that their natural rivals are Everton FC. When these two clubs play against each other, the fixture is often referred to as the Merseyside Derby, but there is also huge rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United. Liverpool's home colours include red shorts and a red shirt. The kit is manufactured by Adidas and the main club sponsor is a company called Standard Chartered.

Standard Chartered Liverpool Football Club Sponsor Details

Official Site:

Sponsorship Value: £20m / year

Standard Chartered is a British company that specialises in multinational banking and financial services. It was founded back in 1969 when two banks ('The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China' and 'Standard Bank of British South Africa') merged to form Standard Chartered. The bank picked up the role of sponsoring Liverpool at the start of the 2010/11 season after the deal was actually agreed upon on in September 2009.

This is one of the most lucrative sponsorship deals in the Premier League today and it earns Liverpool approximately £20 million per year. This deal is equally as impressive as the ones secured by both Manchester City and Manchester United. Standard Chartered is now part of one of the world's most successful football clubs and in December 2010, the bank was recognised as the 'Global Bank of the Year' at the Bankers Bank of the Year awards.
