Tottenham Hotspur Football Club formed in 1882 and their home ground, White Hart Lane, is located in Tottenham, North London. The club is more commonly referred to as 'Spurs' and their current manager, André Villas-Boas, was appointed in July 2012. Aurasma is a platform which allows companies to develop and produce their own augmented reality. This subsidiary company became the official kit sponsor for Spurs in 2011 in a deal that reportedly earns the club £10 million per year. The autonomy corporation in a multinational enterprise software company which was founded in Cambridge, UK, in 1996. This innovative platform is now available as a free app for iOS and other handheld Android devices, or as an SDK.

Spurs currently uses Aurasma to help bring their shirts to life in a digital environment, together with highlights from the game, and also pre-match interviews with the club's manager is also available on this platform. The company reported that more than 250,000 people viewed Spurs content via their platform for the 2011/12 season. Tottenham Hotspur also secured an additional £5 million a year deal with a company called Investec, for sponsoring all of Spurs' cup games over the past two years.
